Sony gets back into smartphone games with 10 Playstation titles coming to Android devices

Sony has decided to follow in Nintendo’s footsteps by announcing today that the company is planning to bring 10 Playstation games to Android and iOS devices. It’s a bit odd to say that Sony is following Nintendo as this isn’t Sony’s first time in the smartphone gaming scene at all. Featuring very detailed high-definition visuals and effects, Riptide GP: Renegade puts players in the role of a hydro jet racer who has been framed and banned from the professional Riptide GP league. In order to restore your reputation as the best racer on the planet you must compete in illegal races around the city. Since the races you find yourself in are not sanctioned, you will not only have to race against other participants but also evade the police who have their own hydro jet bikes. The combination of being both a racer and a fugitive is one of the things that makes Riptide GP: Renegade a refreshingly different take on traditional arcade-style racing.

Level Up Gamecrap Edition: The World of Gaming Getting Too Easy

The latest installment into our Level Up franchise is actually an episode of a sub-series that runs under the Level Up name called Gamecrap. This is where one game is selected as the topic usually, instead of a general video game related topic like in regular Level Up episodes, and is critiqued in a gentle manner. While the game may not necessarily be on Android for each of these Gamecrap episodes, the point behind what is being said can be applied to any platform of video gaming.
