We get to see plenty of hybrid games that mesh two or more genres together come our way and we have seen pretty much every combination that you can think of. We’ve even seen some that you wouldn’t expect to make sense but end up working out quite well. This is the case with a game called Chesslike that will be heading to Android soon.

Back during CES 2015 we got to sit down with Gameloft and go hands-on with their upcoming addition to their Dungeon Hunter franchise, that being Dungeon Hunter 5. While we were not able to talk about what we witness during that hands-on time immediately, we are now able to talk about the hands-on we had with the game itself.
Gameloft has announced the next installment into the Dungeon Hunter franchise, officially called Dungeon Hunter 5, and along with this Gameloft has now made pre-launch registration live on the game’s official micro-site. Also, besides all of this, Gameloft has also released a Developer Diary video which does show some of the gameplay that will arrive with Dungeon Hunter 5.

Most developers of mobile games spend a decent amount of time building and testing their game before pushing it to Google Play. When we say decent amount of time, we mean 6 months, a year, maybe even 2 years. However it doesn’t happen often when we ear about a game being developed for a longer period of time then 2 years but today we get to report on Auro, a game which has taken four years to develop, test, and land on Google Play.
KintoGames has released their newest title onto Android called bit Dungeon II. Described as a “fast action roguelike game”, your goal in this dungeon crawler is to make your way through a world of undead and demons to put the souls of your loved ones to rest that somehow ended up in this horrible place.
If you happen to be a fan of The Binding of Isaac style of gameplay then you’ll be happy to know that there is a new game on Android called Obslashin’ which brings that same sort of top-down dungeon crawling gameplay to us today. Originally released as a soft launch, today marks the game’s international release for everyone to grab a copy and start hacking at enemies.
Gameloft’s dungeon crawling RPG title Dungeon Hunter 4 has received a new update that brings with it plenty of new content. This expansion is called Descending Depths and features three new dungeons for players to work their way through. As with any type of content expansion, there also happens to be new gear to find, new features to check out, and new bosses to kill.
Rogue Wizards is an upcoming game is a promising looking upcoming game for Android that is currently up on Kickstarter looking for a little extra funding. Right now they have received about half of what their goal is, so just over $35,000 of the $70,000 they are hoping to get in funding. Today the developers have released a new video which showcases the crafting in the game which is done with Forgestone and Cauldron Systems.
It’s good to have a breath of fresh air- especially when it tastes like the mold, mildew and dry bones forgotten in an abysmal dungeon teeming with uncertainty. When executed properly these dark and oppressive gaming environments can be a true ray of light to the seasoned digital adventurer. Rocketcat‘s most recent Android offerings cannot be relegated to a single category, Wayward Souls and Mage Gauntlet incorporate numerous aspects spanning multiple genres. To the relief of the more stalwart gaming crowd on Android, these action/rpg mash ups are crafted with love and high quality in mind. Both of these two games stand tall and stand alone in boasting a full premium experience without a monotonous grind or dangling the infamous iap carrot stick in front of your nose. In fact, neither have a single iap once the game is purchased, and the apps are well tended to with free updates that at times include new content.
Rogue Wizards launches on Kickstarter, Praised by Diablo, Torchlight, Left 4 Dead, and Marvel Heroes Creators
We haven’t talked about a game going to Kickstarter for funding in awhile but today a new title is looking for funding and it looks very promising. Rogue Wizards RPG is the game and it is being developer by Spellbind Studios. This is their first game that will also be released onto multiple platforms (Android, iOS, PC) but the biggest aspect about this Kickstarter campaign is that it has praise from some seriously big people in the game industry: the creators of Diablo, Torchlight, Left 4 Dead, and Marvel Heroes.
