Amazon rumored to be launching their own Android game console this year

This rumor has been floating around since the later part of 2013 but apparently there is a bit more validity to it now. According to VG24/7, Amazon will be launching their Android game console sometime this year and will be priced somewhere below the $300 mark. That price point isn’t surprising considering Amazon likes to try and make their Android-based devices priced as low as possible.

So what did you get for Christmas this year? A new Android device or something equally as awesome?

‘Tis the day after Christmas and all threw the house, everyone was stirring about including the mouse. New Android devices being set-up and fill with new games, did you get a new devices or are you still sporting the same? Okay so maybe my rhyming isn’t the best but it is the day after Christmas and there should be plenty of new Android users out there as well as existing users with new Android devices.

Mad Catz and Nvidia working together to bring GameStream to the Mojo console

The upcoming Mojo Android-powered game console by Mad Catz is nearing its official retail launch and it looks like it will be a little more appealing when it finally does go on sale thanks to Mad Catz and Nvidia working together to bring Nvidia’s GameStream technology to the console. While this feature most likely won’t make it in time for the console’s launch, it is planned for it to arrive in an update shortly afterwards.

More trouble arises for Ouya’s Free The Games funding campaign, another game bites the dust

Two games have already had their issues with Ouya’s Free The Games funding campaign with one being pulled from Kickstarter while the other, which ended up successfully funded, was almost pulled as well. Ouya’s Free The Games program will match developers who have a successful Kickstarter campaign for $50,000 or more as their initial goal. Ouya will then turn around and match whatever their goal was as long as the game developers also agree to a six month exclusivity period for their funded game.
