This rumor has been floating around since the later part of 2013 but apparently there is a bit more validity to it now. According to VG24/7, Amazon will be launching their Android game console sometime this year and will be priced somewhere below the $300 mark. That price point isn’t surprising considering Amazon likes to try and make their Android-based devices priced as low as possible.

In the world of Android devices it usually takes no time at all for a new device to get rooted. When it comes to Android consoles, this is also true and the Mad Catz MOJO game console is the newest one to be added to the list of rooted game consoles. Ouya has announced, through their Twitter account with a picture, that the company has made a new white version of their Android-powered game console. This new edition is just as it sounds, all white, for those of you who enjoy having everything white colored.

Toadman Interactive have released a new game exclusively onto Ouya called Killing Floor: Calamity. If this game sounds familiar that is because this is a re-imaged version of the original arcade shooter version of Killing Floor. However this is not an FPS game like the original one and is instead a top-down arcade shooter with plenty of blood to go around.
We’ve played with an early version of Mad Catz’s Android-powered game console MOJO and have followed the news on its development since it was announced back in the Summer. Now we get to report on the fact that the console will finally be shipping out to anyone who’s pre-ordered one, just in time for the holidays as promised by the company.
The upcoming Mojo Android-powered game console by Mad Catz is nearing its official retail launch and it looks like it will be a little more appealing when it finally does go on sale thanks to Mad Catz and Nvidia working together to bring Nvidia’s GameStream technology to the console. While this feature most likely won’t make it in time for the console’s launch, it is planned for it to arrive in an update shortly afterwards.
A lot of people have had their eyes on Mad Catz who have promised to build the most powerful Android-based console that would be available when it launches. While the company has been tight lipped over the specs of the console, we did get some hands-on time with a prototype version with prototype hardware during the GameStop Expo this year.
Two games have already had their issues with Ouya’s Free The Games funding campaign with one being pulled from Kickstarter while the other, which ended up successfully funded, was almost pulled as well. Ouya’s Free The Games program will match developers who have a successful Kickstarter campaign for $50,000 or more as their initial goal. Ouya will then turn around and match whatever their goal was as long as the game developers also agree to a six month exclusivity period for their funded game.

So during the GameStop Expo we just left the other day we had a chance to do our interview with Mad Catz in person instead of doing it through Skype or email, hence the delay in the interview getting done in the first place. We sat down with Alex Verrey, the Global PR Director for Mad Catz and Nathan Aguilera, Associate Product Manager for Mad Catz to talk about their upcoming Android-based gaming console called Mojo.
