Nvidia’s possible Shield Tablet follow-up looks to be canceled

Back in May 2016 we reported on Nvidia submitted a new Shield tablet to the FCC, which looked to be the follow-up to the current Shield K1 model. From what was in that FCC report, it looked like the new model would have been an upgrade to the current one, sporting a Tegra X1 chipset for starters. We say ‘would have’ because Nvidia has submitted a dismissal request letter to the FCC over the new tablet.

There’s a lot of people Pokemon GO right now, and this probably won’t change anytime soon either. Unfortunately, in order to play this game you need to have it running, along with your Location/GPS going, and of course, you yourself need to be keeping an eye on everything going on in the game. This may not seem like a lot, but when you’re running around hunting Pokemon while doing other activities, you tend to miss capturing some of them.

PSA: You can swap the SSHD from your Nvidia Shield Android TV to a new SSD

The XDA Forums always has some good content to check out, especially if you’re into modding your Android device using ROMs. However, a user has figured out a way to swap out his SSHD in his Nvidia Shield Android TV Pro with that of another new SSD. The Pro version already comes with 500GB of storage, but if you want to increase that, or put in a replacement SSD or another reason, then you can do it now.

Amazon has announced that the second annual Amazon Prime Day will be arriving on July 12, 2016. For those of you not familiar with what Amazon Prime Day is, this is where Amazon celebrates all their Prime members by offering a day with nothing but a ton of massive deals on pretty much everything you could think of. Lenovo demos ‘smart sneakers’ that function as game controllers

Developed by Lenovo, and created in collaboration with Vibram, there are a new set of smart shoes that could one day be set to enter the market. Among other things, they’ll be able to track both step counting as well as how many calories are burned, allow the user to participate in fitness competitions, custom lighting, and music interaction, and allow users to receive health tips derived from a special insole. Oh, and it also will double as a game controller.
