During CES 2013 and nVidia’s press conference, one of the games demoed on their upcoming Project Shield Android handheld gaming system was the Mech themed MMOFPS game Hawken by Adhesive Games. Well the two companies have teamed up once again only this time it isn’t to demo Hawken playing on Project Shield like before but instead to tease us a little more by releasing a Hawken Live Wallpaper.

Last month we talked about a new cross-platform MMO that would be arriving on Android called Chaos of Three Kingdoms. Developed by RenRen Games, this MMO is based off of China’s Three Kingdom era and the history around it. When we originally posted our preview to this game, a lot of people seemed interested in it.
In what could be the first true port of an online MMORPG, Vendetta Online is on it’s way to Android with a 100% port. Guild Software just announced that is plans to completely port their online space MMORPG to Android and plan to demo it at E3 this year. Vendetta offers RPG mixed with ‘Twitch’ gaming and PvP in a sci-fi atmosphere.
While keeping in the spirit of all things dice related, there is another new game available on the Android market. Dice Wars Online, developed by Eingrad, is a MMO Risk style game using dice. With up to 5 players on a map, your goal is to conquer the entire map just like in Risk, using dice as your weapons and troops. You can also level yourself up to Level 50.
So as you may have noticed, I took the weekend off thinking this would be an ideal time to slip a couple days off and spend time with my family hoping it would be a slow news weekend. In reality it was a busy weekend not just for Android news but Android gaming news as well. So here is a quick rundown of gaming news over the weekend.
If you haven’t yet had the chance to play Pocket Empires, developed by Pocket Play, now is a good time to go grab it off the market after the recent updates. These include another server opening up as well as unit balancing issues being worked out. Before the update in regards to unit balancing, archers were rather over-powered but that has changed now.
Well after taking two days off for Easter it’s time to dive right back into things and what better way to do that then to showcase some updates to some big gaming titles. We also got some major announcements to make today although I’ll save that for a post a little later. For now though, these games just got updates so if you have them, go get your updates!
Pocket Empires, developed by Pocket Play, is a MMO-strategy game where you build your empire, conquer others, capture creatures and expand your domain. You have two countries to choose from on the Beta server with another server coming soon. This is your standard strategy game where you build and conquer but with nice graphics and some animation too.
