Modern War is a game from GREE which is essentially a graphical MMORTS game for your Android device that is themed around military and war. Players can pick one of six nations to play under, build up their forces and attack the players of the other countries in hopes of bringing your country ahead of the rest and eventually conquer the world.

RenRen Games has released a new version of their online multiplayer cross-platform RTS games called Chaos of Three Kingdoms Deluxe. In this new version of the game there are more levels, functions and overall content. In fact this new version is almost a bit more of a hardcore edition over the existing Chaos of Three Kingdoms due to the possibility of getting prizes for just logging into the game.
Kabam, known for their free-to-play browser MMO games and now their recently released Arcane Empires on Android, look to be gearing up to release another game soon and this time it could be based off of The Hobbit. Officially being called The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-Earth, this mobile phone and tablet MMORTS game is slated for release later this Fall, just in time for the first release of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy this December.
InnoGames has updated the mobile browser version of their MMORTS game Tribal Wars and coming along with the revamping of the mobile version of the game comes the opening of it to everyone instead of just premium members. This isn’t the Android app version we are talking about here but the browser version which allows you to play the game through your Android device’s browser. Similar to the actual app that is also available.
Kabam, known for their PC and browser-based MMO games as well as one of the top grossing iOS games out right now called Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, have released their first game onto Android, an MMORTS game called Arcane Empires.
After seeing a huge amount of success with Crime City and eventually being bought by GREE for a large sum of money recently, Funzio has finally brought their hit iOS MMORPG to Android. Modern War, as it is called, will have you trying to take over the world in a fully graphical MMORPG.
There really isn’t a whole lot of choices when it comes to playing an MMORTS game on Android but soon we will have at least one more game to consider should we be wanting to play a little real-time strategy gaming with a whole lot of other people online.
Tribal Wars from InnoGames has been around for awhile now and during GDC 2012 we reported that a mobile version was heading its way over to Android soon and that eventually all their in-house developed games would be coming as well.. Well now InnoGames has released a public beta version of their popular MMORTS game onto the Google Play store.
After the recent news regarding Amazon’s App Store now supporting in-game purchases we figured this would start to bring a lot of freemium and free-to-play games over to that App Store and it seems that it is happening already. PlayMesh has just released their free-to-play MMORTS (Massive Multiplayer Online Real-Time Strategy) game called Valor.
InnoGames have been around for quite awhile having developed and published a lot of browser-based MMORTS games with their flagship title being Tribal Wars. We got a chance to sit down with Dennis Heinert, Head of Public Relations at InnoGames during GDC 2012 where we learned that InnoGames is planning on bringing all of their in-house developed MMO titles to Android.
