The next version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition is heading our way and amazingly enough it seems as though this update came a lot faster than the other ones did. This is probably due to the fact that a lot of features are now in place so the devs working on Minecraft: Pocket Edition don’t have to worry about them and can concentrate on more content. So what is coming in the 0.5.0 update? The Nether Reactor.

Minecraft: Pocket Edition now creepier thanks to the new update with Creepers and more, now live
We were hearing rumblings yesterday on Twitter that the update we talked about a few weeks ago for Minecraft: Pocket Edition would be arriving today and sure enough the 0.4.0 update has arrived. For those of you who missed our last article with the full changelog, this update brings a lot more to the game including the infamous Creeper.
Yesterday we talked about the next Minecraft: Pocket Edition update, labeled as being version 0.4.0, and that it would bring with it Creepers and Chests to the game. Shortly after posting this, we found out that there is a lot more to the upcoming update than just those two things.
Not to rain on your possibly good Monday morning but it seems as though another patent troll has reared its ugly head and this time it has its sight set on Mojang, Electronic Arts, Square Enix and a few other large gaming companies. This new lawsuit is over a rather vague patent that these companies are apparently infringing upon.
We knew it was coming and now it has finally arrived. Mojang has finally pushed out a new update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition which brings some new elements to the game included the addition of Furnaces and some of the blocks that come with it.
So lots of talk going on these days over on the Minecraft forums about what will possibly be included in the next update. So far we know, thanks to a Q & A session on TwitchTV, that one of the priorities is to bring furnaces into the game.
One of the big things everyone is waiting for to finally arrive in Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Android is crafting. Now we have an idea of what it could very well look like thanks to a tweet early this morning from Mojang’s Daniel Kaplan.
If you’ve been holding out on Minecraft: Pocket Edition then now is a great time time to jump in the block mining craze. Over the weekend Mojang has finally made good on their promise and brought the much requested and long awaited Survival Mode, at least to a degree for now.
Mojang has released some news regarding the next update that will be making it’s way to Minecraft: Pocket Edition soon. Slated for release (tentatively) on February 8th, 2012, this update will bring changes to the back-end to prepare it for Survival Mode, something everyone has been waiting for.
You may or may not remember back in August when Mojang put up a limited edition Minecraft themed Xperia Play for sale on eBay. By the time the auction was over it had sold for a ridiculous $1525 although all the proceeds were given to a charity of Mojang’s choice. Well another one has appeared on eBay.
