Electronic Arts is apparently going to be releasing another Dragon’s Age game soon but this time it will be a sort of spin-off game for mobile devices called Heroes of Dragon Age. While there isn’t a whole lot of details right now regarding this game, there are a few details available to share about Heroes of Dragon Age.

Back in March of last year during GDC 2012 we sat down with InnoGames’ Head of Public Relations Dennis Heinert where we talked about the company’s catalog of MMORTS games and how they would be heading to Android soon. Since then Tribal Wars arrived and is still labeled as a beta. One of their other big MMORTS titles called Grepolis has also been slated for release onto Android and it looks like the game could finally be getting released soon.
The other day we talked about the fact that Gameloft’s next installment into the Asphalt racing series of games had been delayed and that the August 8th, 2013 release date given during the Google Nexus 7 event wasn’t an exact nor official release date. That was some bad news but today we have some good news with Gameloft announcing the actual release date for the game via their Twitter account.
Red Robot Labs are the folks behind the rather unique location-based MMORPG Life is Magic. The company has released a new game onto Android called Friendly Fire! which is a more comical tower defense game similar in style (visually that is) to other games like Great Big War Game. Mainly thanks to the comic style the art has in-game.
Battle Bears Fortess is the newest title from SkyVu Entertainment that has been running in a location limited beta for a short while now. Well the game has finally dropped the location-specific beta tags and is now available for everyone on Android. This game has a rather enjoyable 1-vs-1 multiplayer mode but also a full single-player campaign as well.
For those of you eager to get your hands on the next installment in Gameloft’s Asphalt racing series, it turns out that the game has been delayed. According to one of the Gameloft Community Managers, the August 8th release date given during Google’s Nexus 7 press event was not an official release date.
Apparently a Japanese arcade has decided to take steps to ensure that the fine folks who are in their arcade are spending money and not sitting around playing mobile games instead. So what did this arcade do to try and persuade patrons to spend their money on the arcade’s games? Ban smartphones of course. While this is definitely filed under the ‘Humor’ category of news, there is some interesting things to note about this situation.
There is a new empire building 4x strategy game available for Android gamers to check out called Rising Empires. Developed by Hellhound Interactive, this game features six playable races with each one having their own set of unique abilities. There is also one very interesting feature about this game and that is there’s actually two levels to fight on.
DeNA’s latest big hit game The Drowning has been out on iOS for a short period of time now and while the game itself has received a lot of high praises, the free-to-play the game comes with seems to be a bit of a hot topic of discussion. You may remember us talking about this game when it was first announced back in December of last year where it was officially confirmed for iOS but we hit up Ben Cousins on Twitter to get confirmation that it would also be arriving for Android as well.
Back in May we talked about an upcoming 3D multiplayer cross-platform strategy combat game called Champs: Battlegrounds and that it would be heading to Android, iOS and PC in the near future. While the PC version has been available for a short period of time, the Android and iOS versions are now available as well on their respective app stores.
