Even though the new Nexus 7 Android tablets were announced only a couple of days ago and are slated to hit Google Play for purchase on July 30th, 2013, if you happen to be the sort of person that doesn’t like waiting a few extra days to order yours then you might want to head on over to Amazon where the $229 WiFi model is already up there for sale.

If you follow Android hardware news on a regular basis then you’ve probably seen the plethora of leaked renders, specs and other details about an apparent new Nexus 7 tablet from Asus getting released soon. Many outlets have the official unveiling of this new tablet dated a few days from now when Google is planning to host a press event.
On Friday we started our giveaway for a shiny new 16GB Nexus 7 Android tablet that the fine folks over at nVidia decided to donate towards our week long celebration where we are doing giveaways every day. So far we’ve given out a ton of stuff to our readers and believe it or not we still have more! So this may end up being a week and a half celebration instead.
Well today was supposed to be the large media event Google was going to hold but it unfortunately got canceled due to the bad weather going on over on the East coast, which we hope all of our readers over there are taking measures to stay safe. Google, instead of rescheduling the event to announce the new Nexus devices, has gone ahead and made everything official today anyways through an online announcement instead. So what is official? The LG Nexus 4, the Nexus 10 tablet and the Nexus 7 32GB version tablet.
While October 29th is only five days away, which is when Google will be having an event in New York which everyone is pretty much guess will be the official announcement of the Nexus 4 device, probably something to do with Android 4.2 and even possibly the Nexus 10 tablet. One thing is for certain, something with a Nexus will be involved.
Back in the day of the first Nexus device, the Nexus One, the device brought with it all the hardware we had wanted at that time and then some. It was what could truly be considered a flagship device as it was ahead of pretty much any other Android device available at the time it launched. Since then we have had a few more Nexus devices land in our laps, each one seemingly a little less stellar than its predecessor, although still very strong devices. Now we have had a rumor for awhile that there could be up to 5 Nexus devices heading our way soon, each from a different manufacturer.
There have been rumors of multiple Nexus branded devices heading our way over the next few months from when the Nexus 7 was launched. There have been rumors as to what companies would be making these upcoming Nexus devices with names like Sony and LG be thrown around. Well the LG-E960 looks to be the rumored Nexus device that will be coming from the fine folks over at LG.
Well one issue has been officially cleared up thanks to the Google Play store which has revealed that the next Android OS version named Jelly Bean will indeed be Android 4.1 and not Android 5.0. On a less surprising note, the first device to get this update will be the Galaxy Nexus.
We have been watching and reporting on all the rumors about the Nexus tablet Google has been wanting to release. One rumor is that Asus would be the manufacturer that would be making the device, something that makes a lot of sense. Well it is now confirmed that Asus is indeed making the Nexus tablet.
So we have reported on the fact that Google is looking at making multiple Nexus brand devices from multiple manufacturers and to have them heading our way by Q4 2012. Well it seems a close source to it all has told TalkAndroid more information about this subject and that there will be five Nexus brand devices released on November 5th, 2012.
