Well we don’t have the onslaught of dual-core Tegra 2 Android devices available just yet for purchase that we saw at CES 2011, apparently nVidia is gearing up to possibly announce the Tegra 3 chip which will be a quad-core chip.
CES has been crazy this year, especially regarding certain products and one of those happens to be tablets, more specifically, Android tablets. ViewSonic has a few offerings in this field: ViewSonic 4″ Tablet, 7″ Tablet, 10″ dual-boot tablet, the GTablet and the 10S Tablet. We got to fondle the dual-core GTablet and get a run down of the 4″ one.
This Acer prototype tablet just keeps popping up everywhere it seems at CES regardless of what booth we go to. Don’t get me wrong, I love playing with it, especially when it concerns 3D games. Snooping around the Verizon booth we spotted it again and once taking a closer look at it, we spotted the Asphalt 6 icon.
One of the games we mentioned in our previous article about the new upcoming nVidia Tegra Zone marketplace was Galaxy of Fire 2 by Fishlabs. This is a 3D sim space game that takes full advantage of the Tegra 2 chip to really boost the graphics and gameplay to console-like status. This is also the game with that nifty action photo feature.
First Look: nVidia to launch TegraZone, an Android game store for high-end games to play on Tegra 2 devices
nVidia at CES is sporting some great products with a strong focus on Android gaming. One of their upcoming products is called Tegra Zone which will be a marketplace for Android devices to go to and users can purchase Tegra 2 optimized games to play on their Tegra 2 Android devices. This isn’t just another market though!
This is a very prototype Android tablet and we were told that even the cosmetics on the body and possibly even the body shape itself will change before the production release. It will be running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and it will be a dual-core Android tablet thanks to the Tegra 2 chip inside.
We are closing up day 2 of CES 2011 and so far it has been pretty sweet with some great Android devices already launched and a hands-on with Vendetta Online beta for Android. During nVidia’s press event, MobileBits came on stage after Trendy Entertainment’s Jeremy Stieglitz to show off their new game on the LG Optimus 2X.

Announced a few days ago was another large update to the entire game with a slew of features we will list shortly. This update marks one of the final steps before the final version of Runes is ready.
