Star Wars fans have a little something to look forward to in the world of pinball as Zen Studios has announced that Star Wars Rebels will be getting its own pinball table soon. Zen Studios has announced that they have two new original pinball tables heading our way soon to their Zen Pinball platform. One of the tables is actually based off of one of their other non-pinball games called CastleStorm. The other new table is a Western themed one called Wild West Rampage. Both tables will be making their appearance near the end of this month within Zen Pinball.
One of Spider-Man’s biggest enemies is Venom and this big bad guy will be getting his own pinball table within the Zen Pinball platform next month. Depending on whether or not you follow the comic book scene, Spider-Man, or the villains he fights, Venom has to be one of the coolest and yet baddest of Spider-Man’s enemies… or at least that is what I think about him.
Pinball Arcade developers Farsight Studios releases Ghostbusters pinball just in time for Halloween
Ghostbusters is a pretty iconic franchise which is enjoyable any time of the year. However when Halloween rolls around, this franchise just seems to be better. Farsight Studios has procured the rights to develop and release a fully licensed Ghostbusters pinball table and it is now available on Google Play for free, just in time for the candy-filled holiday.
South Park will be getting a couple of pinball tables within Zen Pinball HD later this week. The two tables will be called South Park: Super-Sweet Pinball, and South Park: Butters’ Very Own Pinball Game and will feature all of the main characters from the TV Show and Kenny will probably die a ridiculous amount of times in them.
Some background: As a life-long fan of video arcades since their beginnings I’m also a tremendous fan of pinball machines. It has only been in the last few years that video emulation of pinball has gotten close to matching the experience. In terms of commercial pinball video games there are two very different camps: On the one hand you have Pinball Arcade that places an emphasis on making reproductions of actual physical machines, on the other you have Zen Pinball that keeps the broad strokes of physical machines in mind but abuses the fact that there are no limitations to what they can do, making only original tables. While, on the whole, I will admit I’m more inclined to enjoy the best converted Pinball Arcade machines there are several Zen Pinball machines I’ve gotten some quality hours with. Rather than have my reviews for these tables go over the merits of the game engines themselves, we’ll assume that the people reading the reviews are familiar with the base games already and are only really interested in a review of just the table itself.
Due to the popularity of The Walking Dead franchise it should not really be much of a surprise that Zen Studios will be bringing The Walking Dead: Season 1 to Zen Pinball in the form of a new tablet to play. Considering how much eye candy, animation and general fun most pinball tables from Zen Studio have, this newly announced The Walking Dead table should be pretty good.
After taking a bit of a break with doing the weekly Android game sales round-ups, we are back with them once more! With that said, right now we have a decent amount of Android games on sale and what is even better is that a lot of these games are good. Final Fantasy IV, Flashout 3D, and Principia are some of the games on sale right now.
Zen Studios is really promoting their upcoming expansion to their Star Wars pinball series, releasing a new trailer for one of the four upcoming new pinball tables each week. This week is no different with the release of the Star Wars: Masters of the Force pinball table trailer.
