Tiny Epic Studios have released their old school style platformer in select regions today on Android called Samurai Saga. This game actually has a bit of a older Shinobi style to it with regards to its gameplay, although the visuals are a little more up-to-date, and it comes with a physics engine in it as well.
Everyone has a pretty good opinion about what Mega Man should be like on any platform. This is doubly true for mobile devices, and once everyone saw the gameplay preview video for the upcoming mobile ports of the first six Mega Man games, a lot of people became concerned about the performance that was witnessed in that video.
If you are an iOS gamer (wait … why are you on DroidGamers?) then you have likely already experienced the smash hit that is Super Mario Run. For those of us who prefer to play our games on Android, Nintendo has finally begun the process of letting us join in on the fun.
Annelids, developed by Michael Srb, was released onto the Play Store to generally positive reception some time ago. I’m here today to briefly recap on the game and discuss the recent update. Although it’s titled “Christmas Update”, this brings some very welcome permanent multiplayer love.
The Christmas Android Game Sale Round-Up: Lots and lots of Android games on sale this holiday season
Usually we do our weekly round-up of Android games on sale each Friday, but while this week’s list is on a Friday, it is probably the biggest list of Android games on sale that we have seen in some time. It’s even bigger than last year’s list, or looks like it is. This list contains all the games on sale right now for a limited time, not including the previous articles earlier this week on other games going on sale. Those, however, will still be linked in here for easier access.
GoNNER is a newly released platformer, with some rogue like elements. In this game, players will be assuming the role Ikk, whose friend is a beached whale named Sally. In oder to try and make Sally happy, Ikk will descend into deep and dark places, in search of trinkets that will make her happy. She shows up from time to time within the game, and will restore Ikk’s health, as a token of said friendship.
Capcom apparently decided to follow up their news from the other day regarding the upcoming release of the original Megaman 1-6 games for mobile devices. If you missed this news, Capcom announced that they will be porting over the first six Megaman games to mobile devices. Each one will be sold individually.
Capcom has always had a love/hate relationship for mobile games. On one hand, they love releasing mobile games on iOS, but for some reason it seems they hate to do the same for Android. It seems Capcom is finally giving Android a real chance, as the first 6 games from the Blue Bomber’s 8-bit era are coming to Android in January of 2017. This isn’t the first time Megaman has seen a mobile device.
Developer Esayitch released his throwback platformer this week, “Tower of the Wizard”. It’s an easy-playing homage to the Nintendo Gameboy side-scrollers of the early 90’s. The game is done in an 8-bit style which we’ve all become very accustomed to seeing on the play store lately.
