A Japanese newspaper, Asahi Shimbun, is reporting that the Sony Android Playstation phone which is rumored to be named the Xperia Play, will be released in early Spring 2011. This pretty much just re-enforces the recent information from last week about this device not making an appearance at CES 2011 but at MWC 2011 instead.

Now we could read into this a whole lot and plug this entire thing in regards to the Sony Playstation Android phone which is one the way soon. We won’t though, at least not much. A few days ago another tipsters came forward to reveal new information about the Playstation Phone including graphics and how they look as well as the price point for games for this device. Getting details on this device has also been a royal pain but as time passes it seems more come to the surface of the rumor pool. Today the Wall Street Journal is the source of new information regarding the possible Android Playstation phone.

Sony is really doing their job well stirring up rumors, first with the Android Playstation phone and now ‘insider information’ from someone close to the project has said that the Playstation 3 could be getting GoogleTV software. While it wouldn’t be hard to rig up your PS3 in some fashion to play on a GoogleTV, actual compatibility is always better.
