In a double-header of Pokemon GO news, it appears that Niantic Labs has teamed up with Sprint for… something. What this may actually end up being remains to be seen, but we won’t have to wait long to find out what’s going on with the two companies, as they are planning to hold a join press conference tomorrow.

We recently reported on some datamined goodness with Pokemon GO that revealed the game would be getting 100 new 2nd generation Pokemon in an update coming soon. However there is one 1st generation Pokemon that has yet to be found, and that is Ditto. This, however, has changed. Ditto is now available for trainers to find and collect, but there’s a catch to getting one.
As you may or may not be aware of by now, Niantic Labs has announced that they will be launching their third global event in a couple of days. The event, which is Niantic’s way of saying thank you for making their game a ridiculous success, will have trainers receiving double the XP and Stardust for a week.
So the other day we reported on Pokemon GO and the fact that it was datamined after the recent update and what was found was the foundation for an upcoming update that would be adding 100 new Pokemon to the game. More specifically, the game will be getting a slew of 2nd generation Pokemon, except Ditto which is the only non-legendary 1st generation Pokemon not in the game still, numbered 152-252 in the Pokedex.
Pokemon GO gets updated with a few bug fixes. New code hints at 100 new 2nd generation Pokemon coming soon.
Niantic Labs has released a new update for Pokemon GO which addresses a few different bugs that have been squashed with the arrival of this update. However, while bug fixes are always good, the real news comes from within the added coding of this update, which has been datamined and found to contain hints at the arrival of 100 new Pokemon soon, many of which fall into the 2nd generation of creatures in the franchise.
There’s been plenty of stories about weird things happening to Pokemon GO players, and sometimes even bad things. However it hasn’t really happened where someone was robbed while live streaming themselves on Twitch, until now of course. Blogger and live streamer Ricky Yaneza was playing Pokemon GO in Central Park when he got mugged during his live stream.
[Update: Now available] The Pokemon GO Plus accessory is confirmed for its September release still
While Apple held its event for the company’s new iOS products, Niantic Labs was a part of the entire event showing off a new Pokemon GO app for the Apple Watch called Pokemon GO Plus, named after the accessory the developers are still planning to release. Don’t get too sad we don’t have this app yet, because while it does do some nice things like notify you of nearby Pokemon, and what those Pokemon are, and more, you still need to pull out your phone to capture them.

Niantic has been working on the next update for their Pokemon GO game, and the update when it arrives will make leveling up a bit easier thanks to the new Buddy system they are planning to add to the game. The last update brought the Appraisal system, which basically has the leader of your faction informing you whether or not a particular Pokemon you are getting appraised is good or if it sucks.
Niantic has pushed out a new update for Pokemon GO that brings with it some interesting changes to the game. One of the bigger additions is that of a Pokemon Appraisal system for trainers to use. Besides that there are a few other tweaks to the game, as well as some bug fixes.
