Usually there is only one free app or game of the day over at the Amazon AppStore but today we are treated to a ‘Greatest Hits’ promotion where Amazon has put up some of their best free apps and games from the past year back up for free once again. The selection has some impressive titles available for free right now that you may have missed when they originally were offered up for free.
Electronic Arts is actually having quite the sale this holiday seasons and it goes much further than Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Contre Jour being only $0.99 for the holidays, while a lot of the free-to-play games EA has, such as TheSims and Theme Park, are having sales regarding in-game purchases. There also happens to be holiday themed items you can find in some of those games as well.
So it is the morning of Christmas Eve and like any good company we are here working although we will admit we are taking it a little on the more relaxed side of things today. After receiving its first update after months of nothing, Angry Birds Rio apparently still isn’t ending as clues to a new update have come to light. This update looks to be a whole new episode which, as of right now, is called Fruit Market. Of course the episode name is subject to change at any time but for right now it is showing as Fruit Market.
Originally released as a paid game, Stolen Couch Games have decided to switch things up a bit and change their indie puzzle game Ichi from a paid game to a free game. This means if you haven’t downloaded this puzzle game yet but have wanted to, now you can do so without spending a penny.
We’ve talked about Zeptolab’s upcoming game Pudding Monsters a couple of times in the past already. Now we can officially say that the game has arrived right on time and is now available for download off of the Google Play store. For those of you who missed our previous coverage of Pudding Monsters, it is all about getting bigger in size.
The flurry news regarding the Android gaming console OUYA has died down for a bit now as the unit is currently finishing up development and getting ready for production. While we all wait for the March 2013 release of this new home gaming console unit, OUYA has decide to announce ten more games that will be available when the unit hits store shelves in March 2013.
A new game development studio coming out of London called Super Icon have announced that they will be developing games for the Playstation Mobile platform, along with other mobile platforms such as iOS and Android non-Playstation Certified devices. Super Icon already has two games in the works that look to bring back the memories of the old school gaming days long since passed.
‘Tis the season for games going on sale and as you may have noticed over the last seven days or so, there are plenty of sales going on right now. So to add to the rather long list of companies putting their games on sale, Zeptolab has put the HD versions of their games on sale, just like Rovio did with their HD games.
