Unigine Corp got in contact with us this morning to share with us a rather nice hands-on video of their upcoming Oil Rush strategy game that we reported on yesterday which is heading our way next month, at least temporarily for Android devices with Snapdragons S4 chipsets inside them at first. We also now have a full list of features that will be coming with this game as well.

Tegra-exclusive games are pretty common in the realm of Android gaming, but Qualcomm-exclusive ones are pretty rare and generally generate less fanfare. Anyway, a few days back Team Dragon, a side-scrolling fighting game in the same vein as Street Fighter X Tekken made its way to Google Play, just for Qualcomm devices. It does look really good, but is there any flesh to it? Read on to find out.
Unigine Corp. is a company that actually makes a 3D game development engine (called Unigine 3D) as well as games using that engine. One of their games is the rather eye candy filled naval RTS game called Oil Rush and Unigine Corp. is planning on bringing this RTS game to Android next month along with all of the eye candy it comes with.
The world of tech blogs seems to be rather excited today as a few rumors and announcements have happened with one of the main ones coming from Sony who officially announced (or confirmed depending on how you look at it) their upcoming quad-core, and ultra thing, Xperia Tablet Z. While we still get to deal with one letter names, at least now we can tack on the Xperia brand name on there as well.
A new Qualcomm exclusive game has arrived onto the Google Play store called Team Dragon from Khaeon. Similar in style to Street Fighter, Team Dragon takes place in inner city locations with each location being controlled by a boss whom you have to defeat in combat to free up that territory.
Earlier this week we provided a lot of coverage on nVidia’s latest mobile chipset that is the Tegra 4. Now we would like to share with you what Qualcomm has in store for us – two new next-generation mobile processors known as the Snapdragon 800 and 600 respectively. What’s really special about both these processors is their insane clock speed – 1.9GHz in the case of the 600 and a whopping 2.3GHz in the case of the 800.
Well today was supposed to be the large media event Google was going to hold but it unfortunately got canceled due to the bad weather going on over on the East coast, which we hope all of our readers over there are taking measures to stay safe. Google, instead of rescheduling the event to announce the new Nexus devices, has gone ahead and made everything official today anyways through an online announcement instead. So what is official? The LG Nexus 4, the Nexus 10 tablet and the Nexus 7 32GB version tablet.
The world of exclusive game releases specific to a carrier or chipset rolls on and today the fine folks over at Verizon have gotten in touch with us to let us know that Rigonauts is finally available on Android but is temporarily exclusive to Verizon customers who own an Android device packing a Qualcomm chipset. The exclusivity period is only two weeks though so it isn’t a huge deal aside from the minor annoyance of having to wait the two weeks before the rest of us can play the game.
While most manufacturers enjoy coming up with cool names for their Android devices, for the most part anyways, Sony seems content in just using letters from the alphabet. Eventually they will run out of letters to use and actually have to think up a name or two. Until then though, Sony has announced a new line of Xperia phones, appropriately named the Xperia V, Xperia J and the flagship phone, the Xperia T.
Yesterday Qualcomm came out with a statement to confirm that their new Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core chip would be arriving in an upcoming LG Android phone. Now we have LG teasing us with a video regarding this same exact phone as well as giving us a bit more information about the hardware.
