Big Huge Games has teamed up with Nexom M, the mobile division of Nexon, to release a new strategy game onto Android today called DomiNations. This particular strategy game takes inspiration from other titles out there in the world of video games like Civilization 2, which makes a lot of sense since the team begin DomiNations includes Brian Reynolds who is a Strategy game veteran and a designer of Civilization 2 and Rise of Nations. This game has been in a soft launch for awhile now, today marks the full release of DomiNations.

It’s Friday which means the weekend is upon us and this particular weekend is actually a bit more special since everyone here in the USA who are attending classes will be seeing Spring Break starting up next week. This is probably why there is a good amount of games on sale right now. One thing to do when you’re not in school is to play games. This week’s round-up has the 2K Games Spring Sale as part of it as well as HandyGames getting in on the action, discounting multiple titles as well. This certainly isn’t all that is on sale though!
As we mentioned a few weeks back, Land Air Sea Warfare (LASW) is an RTS game that was originally released on desktops, followed by iOS, and eventually Android. After playing, and at times enjoying, LASW, this game isn’t ready for “prime time”. I have a soft spot for this genre, and this high hopes for this game. While the developer seems to have added some ways to make it easier to move masses of units quickly (a must on touch-based hardware such as phones and tablet), there are too many flaws and oversights to justify the In-App Purchasing price of $4.99.
Land Air Sea Warfare is a Real Time Strategy game that Isotope 244 has now released on Android. Oringially released on multiple platforms (iOS and Desktop) back in 2010, the developer has spent the last two years getting it ready for Android. The game is also the sequel to Machines at War, and the prequel to Machines at War 3.

Announced last August, Games Workshop’s latest Warhammer 40k game to be released on Android, courtesy of Complex Games, has finally arrived. Officially titled The Horus Heresy: Drop Assault, this is an RTS-style game set in the Warhammer 40k universe.
Originally released as a browser-based game, Galaxy Online 3 has been in beta testing for a decent amount of time recently even though it is out for browser gamers to play. Why has it been in beta testing? Because the company behind publishing the game for browsers, IGG.com, has been focusing on bringing some of their titles to mobile devices. Galaxy Online 3 is their newest one and it is now out of beta testing and available for download.
This year’s Super Bowl saw three mobile games with ads being shown during the big game. Each 30-second spot cost each company behind those games around $4.3 million dollars. The three games that advertised during the game was Clash of Clans, Game of War – Fire Age, and Heroes Charge. So the real question is, was it worth the $4.3 million that was spent?
If you are into interesting statistics then here is one for you. Video games Super Bowl ads generally make an appearance every year and this one was no except. In terms of numbers though, this year was a little different. PC/console games had a total of zero ads during this Super Bowl. Mobile games, however, has a total of three ads and you can probably guess at least one of the games that had an ad since it normally has TV ads as well.
