FCC E-filing yielded up some new information and photos on what appears to be a new Shield handheld. In the letter to the FCC from NVIDIA they designate it a Portable Gaming Device, with the type designation P2523. It will feature micro SD card expansion, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and charge via mini-USB.

Nvidia Shield Portable owners are starting to get an optional update rolling out to them today which brings with it Android 5.1 ad Chromecast support among other features. While the update brings plenty of goodness with it, there also happens to be some features being removed with this update as well.
In the past there have been rumblings of Nvidia working on a new Shield Portable. Although there is still no official word on it, another certification, this time for the RRA in South Korea, points to it being something coming soon.

More evidence is coming to light that whatever Nvidia is planning to announce at GDC 2015 has something to do with their gaming on demand service GRID. Today Nvidia has announced that there will be a total of 40 titles available on GRID soon. In fact the next three titles which will push the GRID catalog to 40 are some rather big games.

Nvidia has sent out invites to the media for an event that they will be hosting on March 3rd, 2015 at GDC (the Game Developer’s Conference) in San Francisco. We will be covering the entire GDC event as always and this includes Nvidia’s press event.
