Released by Vitamina Factory, AstroSucker is a classic-style arcade shooter for Android. Players will fire continually, as they strafe in all four directions (up, down, left, and right), while enemy ships approach from the top of the screen. Players will see how long they can survive, dodging and shooting enemies, while progressing in levels.

Released by Evangelos Karamolegkos, Galaxy Invaders 3D is, as one would reasonably expect from the game’s name, an arcade shooter that’s played in 3D. The game has no real story to speak of, and mostly focuses the action. Players will control a star fighter, located at the bottom of the screen in the standard arcade shooter format.
Popular Gear VR game Gunjack will be arriving to two other major Virtual Reality headsets in the near future, those being the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Originally announced as a PC game, the developers went ahead and made a VR version for the Samsung Gear VR headset from the ground up. Now it will be launching later this month officially for PC as well as for the Oculus Rift when that headset ships to pre-order owners. Then Gunjack will be landing on the HTC Vive later this year.
Released by Pixel Mystique, Ninjet is a new vertical arcade shooter for Android. Players will assume the role of a pilot who’s tasked with the objective of single-handedly stopping an endless alien invasion, flying something akin to a transformer. The ship is normally a starfighter, but for short periods of time can transform into a giant, sword wielding robot.
It always seems like games in a particular genre seem to get released or talked about all within the same time frame. For example, one week a bunch of RPGs will get released or talked about, while another week would be strategy games. It’s never planned, it just works out that way. So far this week seems to have a lot of arcade shooters and the Kings of Steam is a new one for Android devices.
If you’ve been around for the golden era of console and PC gaming, back when arcades were big and popular, arcade shooters were some of the more popular games to play. There were games like Contra, Metal Slug, and so on which you could literally waste hours playing, and many people including myself did do that. Huntdown is an upcoming arcade shooter for Android that features the same sort of style the old school titles had.
PixelJam and Noodlecake teamed up back in November 2015 to bring Last Horizon over to Android. Since then it has done fairly well for itself. However today Last Horizon has received a new update that adds plenty of new content to the game, mainly thanks to the new game mode that has been added.
Released by Bee the Swarm, Zombees is a new dual stick shooter for Android. Players will assume the role of the sole bee that’s attempting to surviving the insect equivalency of the zombie Apocalypse, brought about by insecticides. There are multiple protagonists to choose from, with a variety of stats that differ for each one. The game includes different weapons that are dropped when Zombees are killed, as well as health and speed boosts. The game includes 25 levels (with the possibility of more to come).
Released by Pixelbite, Xenorwork is their Sci-Fi themed, top-down shooter. In Xenowerk, for those who aren’t aware, player are tasked with cleaning out infestations of mutants, only those infestations are in well nested in the dark.
There’s plenty of different types of shooting games available on Android these days, ranging from FPS titles to third-person shooters, and everything in between. Now we have a straight up dueling game, appropriately named DEUL, which is an interesting way to spell the word duel.
