After the recent in-depth look at the Sony Playstation Android phone by a Chinese website, which ended up being posted about everywhere but here (sorry CES had me running!), it seems that this little device, dubbed the Xperia Play/Zeus/Z1, is becoming less camera shy each week. What week wouldn’t be complete without some sort of new information regarding the Sony Android Playstation phone, the Zeus/Z1/Xperia Play depending on what you believe it’ll be called. This week it is showing up though holding hands with an Xperia X10 to give you an idea of the scale/size of this Android device.
A Japanese newspaper, Asahi Shimbun, is reporting that the Sony Android Playstation phone which is rumored to be named the Xperia Play, will be released in early Spring 2011. This pretty much just re-enforces the recent information from last week about this device not making an appearance at CES 2011 but at MWC 2011 instead.
Starting off the day fresh with news about the Playstation Android phone that will be coming our way soon. According to Pocket-lint’s source, Sony Ericsson will not be showing the gaming device at CES 2011 but instead will be using the Mobile World Conference in February for the official launch with units being available in April.
Now we could read into this a whole lot and plug this entire thing in regards to the Sony Playstation Android phone which is one the way soon. We won’t though, at least not much. However, it is interesting that Sony would now plan to release an official Playstation application for Android, and iOS as well.

The Gingerbread (Android 2.3) SDK has been released today and with that everyone is tearing it apart to see what is inside. One of the major focuses of Android 2.3 is gaming, so does it come as a surprise that Playstation button support was found inside?
Another video has surfaced regarding the Android Playstation phone and it is a lot better then the last one which was blurry and barely showed anything. This video shows the phone in all the glory it should be shown in and does include the slide out gaming controls in the video. Dubbed the Zues Z1, it has Sony Ericsson branding on the back.
Looks like someone was testing out the upcoming Android Playstation phone a little too publicly and someone managed to film it for a bit while the person with the phone played with it for a bit. However, we don’t get to see much of it aside from the screen which half the time is blurred by the camera guy not sitting still.
The Android Playstation Phone seems to get a new leak or tipster every week now which is always nice. A few days ago another tipsters came forward to reveal new information about the Playstation Phone including graphics and how they look as well as the price point for games for this device. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised at the pricing!
