Harebrained Schemes has put their currently released Shadowrun titles on sale for a limited time. While Shadowrun Returns has received a small discount of a buck, Shadowrun Dragonfall has been discounted pretty heavily, taking $4 off of its regular price.

Square Enix has pushed out a new update for Heavenstrike Rivals that bring the game’s version number up to 3.0. This update brings a slew of new features, tweaks, and bug fixes to this game. In fact there is a whole lot of new content and feature which, if you check the changelog on Google Play for this game, you won’t see much of anything in the way of details covering it all.
Ankama has announced today that they will be bringing a game based off of their original IP called DOFUS to Android and iOS tablets in the near future. This game will be based off of their DOFUS Online which is the company’s MMORPG title for PC. DOFUS for tablets will also be an MMORPG but will feature reworked interfaces so that gamers will be able to play this game properly while on the go.
Today is the day of betas starting. For some reason multiple companies have decided to start closed beta testing today, all at the same time. This is pretty awesome if you enjoy digging around betas, finding and reporting bugs, or just like being in betas so you can learn about a game before it launches in order to have an edge against everyone else. Regardless of the reasoning, betas are fun and one of the games starting their beta today is Fantasy War Tactics from Nexon Korea.
Banner Saga, a tactical RPG set in a Norse fantasy realm, and is on sale for $4.99, which is half of the normal asking price. The Game, for those not familiar with it, did quite well on Kickstarter in 2012, going well beyond their goal of $100,000. The animation is pretty incredible, so definitely check out the trailer.
[UPDATED: Released] Square Enix releases teaser video for Heavenstrike Rivals, global release coming later this month
Square Enix has partnered with Mediatonic (creators of Amateur Surgeon) to release a new game called Heavenstrike Rivals, that we already reported on previously. This game, designed by both companies with a single player campaign and multiplayer competition in mind, has just released a teaser video for those of us that don’t yet have access to the game; they’re currently in the middle of a soft launch with the global release scheduled for later this month.
From the makers of Kingdom Corps, Aiming Global Service Inc., comes Tactics: Conqueror’s War (TCW). TCW is a card-based, capture the flag style game, where players attempt to capture castles and fortresses that sprawled over a map. Players will build their decks, comprised of character cards, through “fusion” (this wasn’t explained in the presser) and dungeon exploration.
[Update: Released] DeNA and Hasbro will be bringing Transformers: Battle Tactics to Android next year
A new Transformer game will be heading our way in 2015 from DeNA and Hasbro called Transformers: Battle Tactics which will be a tactical-based strategy game. This won’t be your typical looking Transformers game though as the visual feature a more cartoon style of look to them.

While tactical-style RPGs are not really a new thing when it comes to any gaming platform including Android, it seems that lately there has been a bit of a surge in tactical RPGs making their way to Google Play. Swap Heroes 2 is another one that will be making its way to Android next month and it looks like it will be pretty fun to play.
Jujubee Games, developer of the Flashout series of futuristic racing games and the Suspect franchise, has announced a new game that will be heading our way soon called Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic and has nothing to do with racing, something that up until now has been Jujubee’s main theme for their games. Instead Spellcrafter is a tactical turn-based RPG title.
