Polarbit has really decided to jump into the celebratory mood with the Android Market breaking the 10 billion download mark by discounting not just a few of their games, but all of their titles. While some are actually a part of the $0.10 deals like Toki Tori, Polarbit has went ahead a dropped their pricing.
Day: 8 December 2011
Spacetime Studios takes both their MMORPG titles global on a single server to do an industry first.
Spacetime Studios has just announced that is has done a world’s first when it comes to cross-platform mobile/PC MMORPG titles but placing the entire population onto a single server. This means that people, for example, in Germany will now be able to play against people in North America or any other locations. This also marks the official launch of Star Legends and Pocket Legends for PC through Google Chrome.
Today sees another wondrous title released from Glu Mobile called Cut The Cheese: Fudge Dragon. Essentially a Fruit Ninja clone, at least in terms of game mechanics, this new game by Glu will appeal to that lowest common denominator in your sense of humor.
We haven’t heard much from the fine folks over at Camel Games in while. We thought perhaps they were taking a break, having an extended beer or something but apparently they have actually been hard at work on their new title which just got released today called Little Empire.
We have reported on this title a few times and now it seems that it will finally be making a debut onto the Xperia Play as a temporary exclusive next week. The PSN title, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be landing on Xperia Play devices early next week.
Well we can safely say this, “Let the games begin”. It appears as though Amazon has been watching the popularity of the $0.10 sale Google is doing on the Android Market to celebrate 10 billion downloads as they are now matching it as well with the same apps and games for the most part.
Vogelstein 2D is a hidden little gem of a game, like a well guarded secret. It also handily serves as an example of what is great about the Android Marketplace. Sure, your Shadowguns and your Modern Combats get all the “attention”, but you have the true hobbyists who tinker and release games. Many times, these games are a labor of love, and I am proud to report that Vogelstein 2D is such a game.
Following up on the OnLive news of the day, we already hinted at something regarding L.A. Noire in our previous article announcing OnLive’s service launching today. Well one of the major titles you can look forward to showing up with custom touch screen controls is Rockstar’s and Team Bondi’s hit game.
To continue on with the awesome news today, this also happens to be day 3 of Google rather crazy $0.10 sale which is going on to celebrate breaking the 10 billion downloads mark on the Android Market. As it is a new day, there are some new titles for you to grab for a measly dime.
We knew this day was coming for quite some time even seeing it already running on a Motorola Xoom back during E3 2011. OnLive’s gaming service is now fully available for Android devices which means, through the app, you will be able to stream console games right to your Android device.
