Back in March of this year we got to take a look at what crafting could look like in Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Android. It was a basic user interface and was also labeled, quite boldly, as not the final version of the upcoming crafting feature. Well today we get to see how that crafting UI has evolved.
Daniel Kaplan of Mojang posted today on his Twitter account a new picture of the current design for the upcoming crafting feature which should be making its way to Minecraft: Pocket Edition in the next update.
As you can see in the above before and after pictures, the newest rendering of the crafting UI looks a fair amount better then the earlier one. While this really isn’t a direct comparison between the two since the earlier screenshot was of the actual crafting window where this new picture is of the crafting library, it does show notable differences in the actual design which has a bit more of a graphical feel to it then the Window 95 look the earlier screenshot had.
Unfortunately there is still no real word just yet on when this next update will arrive for Minecraft: Pocket Edition but it looks like it will include more Survival Mode related features along with the crafting.
