Ematic releases another budget Android 4.0 tablet called the eGlide Steal

The last time we wrote about Ematic, the company was selling its eGlide Prism tablet for just under $160 on ShopNBC. Today Ematic is back with another Android 4.0 tablet, but it’s even cheaper than its previous offering. The eGlide Steal will be sold for $119.95 from online retailers such as Walmart.

When it comes to these budget Android 4.0 tablets, it’s more than reasonable to be skeptical about performance. After all, Ematic isn’t exactly a household name like Samsung or Asus. The specs of the eGlide Steal aren’t going to impress anyone either, but it should be enough to make Ice Cream Sandwich reasonably functional in theory.

The tablet comes with a 1GHz single core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage with 5GB of cloud storage, a microSD card slot, dedicated GPU and a HDMI connector. It’ll also ship with what Ematic calls the “Ematic Digital Assistant & Navigator” (EDAN). It’s supposed to assist you with internet searches by using voice-to-text technology. It sounds awfully like Siri or S Voice doesn’t it?

Everything sounds reasonable on paper, but history has shown many times that we get what we pay for. Pick up this tablet if your curiosity is begging to be satisfied. Just hold on to that receipt.
