PopCap Games officially announces Plants vs Zombies sequel, coming in 2013

Popcap Games has gone ahead and sent out the official word that a sequel to their hit tower defense style game called Plants vs Zombies is in the works and will be arriving in late 2013. Whether it will simply be called Plants vs Zombies 2 or something else remains to be seen, PopCap is promising a ‘bevy of new features’ will come with the game.

Along with this whole suit of new features, Plants vs Zombies 2, which is what we will call it for now, will also come with new environments and settings to battling it out with zombies using nature’s little troopers. Popcap Games is, however, keeping rather quite about further details for this new game aside from the fact it will be arriving in late 2013. We can also assume it will arrive for PC/browsers first before landing on other platforms including Android.
