A new game is heading our way soon which, aside from the introductory video which also acts like a teaser, is remaining a bit of a mystery as to actually what it is. However, thanks to the video, we do know a few details about Life is Magic, mainly that it will most likely be an MMO although as to what kind of MMO is unknown.
We are guessing that this will be an MMORPG, or at least feature a good amount of RPG elements layered onto it. It could be more of an MMO combat game as well which is sort of what the teaser video alludes to a bit. It also makes it look like Life of Magic will have RTS gameplay mechanics as well.
Either way, we also know that it will be location-based or at least feature real world locations that have an overlay of a fantasy theme. This is because the idea about the game is that the ‘real world’ as we know it actually isn’t the real world, but a facade and that what actually exists is basically another dimension where fantastical creatures and magic exist.
Story-wise the game seems pretty interesting and as you can see in the video above, the combat looks pretty good as well. The visuals are more of a cartoon style but the animation looks pretty smooth. Definitely not your typical location-based game at all. Even though this game is fantasy themed, there is also technology in this new dimension as well, as you will see from one of the characters who shoots lasers.
In terms of looking interesting, Life is Magic is doing a good job making us curious about what exactly it is. Unfortunately the developers are keeping a tight lid on what the game is about right now, only releasing the video on an otherwise bare website. However, accompanying the video is a sign-up form to be a part of the upcoming beta, so we should be learning more about Life is Magic fairly soon.
