With Square Enix’s recent announcement of nine Dragon Quest games heading to mobile over the next little while, one would expect that the first hands-on video from the upcoming mobile versions of the franchise would be of the first game. Interestingly enough though the first hands-on video is that of Dragon Quest VIII instead.
This video comes from Japanese gaming site Famitsu who happened to get their hands on a version of Dragon Quest VIII. So this video gives us a glimpse into what we can expect to see with the upcoming Dragon Quest games for mobile, well at least a glimpse at Dragon Quest VIII that is.
There is still no official confirmation as to whether or not any of these Dragon Quest games will get released internationally but it would not be the wisest business decision on Square Enix’s part to only release them in Japan. Stranger things have happened though. Let’s also hope the game isn’t strictly in portrait mode.
