Welcome to another end-of-the-week round-up of Android games that are on sale right now. Usually we talked about how either the list is small but full of quality games or that the list of games on sale is big with some good titles thrown in there. This week however is a little different because the list is pretty good in size and just about every game on sale in this list is a good one.
Day: 11 October 2013
The title may seem a bit weird but Google has been wanting developers to make sure their games and applications look and run good not just on Android phones but on tablets as well. Starting November 21st, 2013 when you log into the Google Play store from a tablet you will automatically be directed to a new section called ‘Designed for Tablets’.
Back in June of this year we mentioned that a rather good looking tactical MOBA game called Arena of Heroes would be making its way to a variety of platforms including Android and Ouya. We the Ouya version of the game is now live and available for download for anyone who owns one of the Android-powered game consoles. To celebrate the launch of the game on Ouya, the developers are also giving away an Ouya as well as a bunch of secondary prizes as well.
For those of you who are fanatics about typography and cool fonts there is actually now a game out that focuses around the subject of fonts throughout different time periods. Developed by European cultural TV channel Arte and published by Bulkypix onto Google Play, Type:Rider will appeal to your love of fonts even though you’ll be playing as two dots.
