The number of really good titles continues to increase in the Play Store. The latest to arrive is a 2D Point and Click adventure title from developer Studio Fizbin out of Germany, entitled The Inner World. Headup Games their publisher let us know that the award winning game is now available for Android. It was released earlier this year on IOS. It is also available for PC and Mac. The game won the Game of the Year award at the German Computer Games Award 2014 and The Best Family Game award at the German’s Developers Association in 2013. The game environment is extremely colorful and completely hand drawn, with heavy doses of humor and good puzzles to solve.

[UPDATE] December 4th: 1:41 PM PST – If you have been waiting to check out the really good 2D point and click adventure game The Inner World, now may be a good time. The game is part of “Headup Games Advent Sale” and it is 75% off. In the Play Store it says “ONLY THIS WEEKEND.” We didn’t notice it last weekend, so you may not have too much longer to grab this game on sale. It has received a few awards for it’s unique story and excellent in-game art. If you have been on the fence about picking it up because of the regular $4.99 price tag, you can’t beat the current price of $.99. You probably don’t want to wait on this one, as it won’t be on sale for long!

The Inner World introduces us to Robert, whom you will have the opportunity to direct throughout the game:

Robert is a novice, a bit clueless, but with a heart of gold. He lives a peaceful life as a court musician in Asposia’s largest wind monastery. Contrary to the laws of physics, Asposia is an enormous, hollow space surrounded by an infinite expanse of earth. The world’s air is provided through three wind fountains, but as one wind fountain after the other petered out and the wind gods came to Asposia, all of the sudden Robert found him in the middle of a whirlwind…  Together with the help of the mysterious thief Laura, his best intentions and no clue whatsoever, Robert sets off on his adventure to discover the secret of the wind’s disappearance. Will the young adventurer be able to save his world? And what are Laura´s secret intentions? – Studio Fizbin/Headup Games
