Every year at around this time every outlet for gaming gets their Game Of The Year picks and awards ready. We are no exception to this rule and it is time for you, our readers, as well as us here at DroidGamers to get together and figure out what games we should pick for the Game Of The Year in each major genre, as well as the one game that takes it all as the overall Game Of The Year for 2014 on Android.
Instead of us just listing our picks like we tend to do, we are going to do something a little different. Between now and the end of this month, each staff member here is going to write an article about their choice(s) for Game Of The Year and why they pick these particular games. However, between now and the end of the month, we want all of our readers to pitch in their vote for what they think should be the game of the year in each major category as well as overall.
We will tally up all the picks everyone makes between now and the last week of December, put an official poll up with those finalists, and have one final vote to pick the winner. These winners will be announced a few days later.
Here are the categories for Game Of The Year selections:
– RPG
– Arcade
– Puzzle
– FPS/Third-Person Shooters
– Adventure (games like point-and-click and interactive novels)
– Strategy
– Other (can be anything that doesn’t fit elsewhere like MOBAs, Board Games, etc etc)
– Overall (The game you want as the overall Android Game Of The Year)
Any game released between January 1st, 2014 till December 15th, 2014 can qualify as being able to be selected for these Game Of The Year awards. Also throughout the entire time we are doing this, we will be giving away everything from $10 Google Play Gift Cards to Nvidia Shield Tablets to random people partaking in the voting. So good luck to all developers as well as everyone voting! Try to limit your selections (in the comments below) to 1-2 games per category as well as 1-2 for overall Game Of The Year.
