Taichi Panda gets an official release date for its global launch on Android

Last week Taichi Panda suddenly became available to more people in more locations to play. While at first we jumped onto the ‘oh it has finally released globally’, we paused on that for a moment as it didn’t jive with what we already knew about the upcoming launch. As it turns out we were right to do that as our guess of the current beta testing phase expanding was the correct one. Today our friends over at Snail Games have gotten in touch with us to let us know that there is an official release date for a global launch.

For those of you not familiar with Taichi Panda, this game is a new Action-RPG title with a majority of your time crawling dungeons, gathering loot, and upgrading your character of choice. There are some multiplayer aspects to this game as well including PvP and even a little MMO thrown in there as everyone is visible in the town when there are not dungeon crawling. The game has been in testing for awhile now since we initially got our first hands-on with this game back in January 2015 during CES. If you want to see the first couple of hours of gameplay, you can check out our TwitchTV stream from last week when the game’s beta initially expanded into other regions and we finally got to play it again.

Last week’s beta expansion did cause a lot of people to be confused as to whether or not that was the game’s launch. Well it official is not the game’s launch and, in fact, is still part of the beta testing phase. This is important to know because there will be a complete character wipe right before the game’s actual launch this week. So if you went into the game last week thinking that it was the actual release, you need to know that your character won’t exist soon.

Taichi Panda will be globally launching on Android on March 26th, 2015. It will be available for download for free and does contain optional IAPs.
