Pokemon GO Plus accessory launch date has now been pushed to September

There’s a lot of people Pokemon GO right now, and this probably won’t change anytime soon either. Unfortunately, in order to play this game you need to have it running, along with your Location/GPS going, and of course, you yourself need to be keeping an eye on everything going on in the game. This may not seem like a lot, but when you’re running around hunting Pokemon while doing other activities, you tend to miss capturing some of them.

The solution to this is an accessory called Pokemon GO Plus, which you’ve probably seen us talk about a few times while we were waiting for the game itself to launch. What this little accessory does is blink and vibrate when a Pokemon is nearby for you to catch. This means you don’t have to stare at your phone while walking around, possibly into a pole. Instead you can go about your business until it vibrates, open the game up, catch a Pokemon, and be on your way.

The problem is that the game is already out and this little accessory was supposed to be as well. However, the launch of this gadget has had new delay announced, along with a tentative time frame for when Pokemon GO Plus will be available for purchase. Originally this was supposed to be released at the end of this month. It being already July 27th and there having been no word on a release, the end of the month is very unlikely.

So now the Pokemon GO Plus will become available sometime in September. This announcement came via the Nintendo Twitter account. No real additional information was released besides the new launch date. Price-wise it should still remain at the $34.99 mark.
