There are only a few countries out in the world that do not have access to Pokemon GO, along with other Augmented Reality games, and one of those happens to be China. While most other countries don’t have it because of things like translations and so on, China doesn’t have Pokemon GO, and won’t have it, until the government there finished evaluating the ‘risks’ it may pose.
Niantic Labs has announced today the availability of holiday-themed item packs which will be available for a limited time only for Pokemon GO players, which makes sense since it is themed around the holidays. Pokémon Trainers rejoice! Catching ‘em all has just become more exciting with the addition of a number of Generation II Pokémon, first seen in the Johto Region in Pokémon Gold and Silver, to Pokémon GO. As revealed by developer Niantic, starting today at 10 A.M. PST players can visit and spin PokéStops to acquire eggs which later might hatch a Togepi, Pichu, or “select other Pokemon”. The other news regarding Pokemon GO yesterday, about the 100 new 2nd generation Pokemon making their appearance on December 8th, seems to have either been off or has changed. The chances are, since this will arrive as an update, that it is the latter of the two options and Niantic has decided to change when they are arriving because of the leaked Starbucks document.
Yesterday we reported that Sprint was teaming up with Niantic Labs for a press event for this morning regarding Pokemon GO. So was it? Well kind of.
