Monument Valley 2 launched out of nowhere on iOS yesterday, alongside its announcement at WWDC. But the question on everyone’s lips right now is if, and when, is it coming to Android.
We reached out to ustwo Games right away for comment, and can confirm right away that it’s definitely coming to Android.
We’re just not exactly sure when. Despite pestering ustwo, all we could get them to commit to was “soon”. Typical, right?
So when will we get Monument Valley 2?
Given that Apple used it to promote the redesigned App Store, it’s a safe assumption that iOS has timed exclusivity. So when could it feasibly come to Android?
Looking back at the release of the original Monument Valley, it first launched on iOS on April 3rd 2014, then Android around six weeks later on May 13th.
We can’t say for sure that the turnaround will be the same this time, but if it is, Monument Valley 2 will launch on Android sometime in mid-July. That seems like a fair assumption.
Either way, we’ll keep nagging ustwo for a concrete answer, and let you know as soon as we learn more. In the meantime, learn more about Monument Valley 2 on the official site.
