Acclaimed LucasArts-esque adventure Thimbleweek Park delayed by a week on Android

Thimbleweed Park

If you were pinning your hopes on playing the much-vaunted point and click adventure game Thimbleweed Park on your Android device this week, prepare to be mildly disappointed and/or slightly frustrated.

Developer Ron Gilbert, whose credits include Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, and more recently DeathSpank, has revealed on the Thimbleweed Park dev blog that the Android version will take a week longer to hit Google Play than expected. Which, let’s be honest, is no big deal.

Fortunately, the game is already out on iOS and other platforms so we know how excited to be (i.e., very). Thumbleweed Park is a detective noir point and click adventure in the old LucasArts style, with the charming pixelart visuals and the classic verb table for interacting with the world.

The Android version of Thimbleweed Park will support mouse and keyboard for that authentic retro feel. You’ll be able to play it for yourself a week from now.
