If you’re a fan of the action JRPG series Star Ocean, we’ve got a huge surprise in store for you. Out of nowhere, a brand new mobile version, Star Ocean: Anamnesis, has launched on Android.
You play as the captain of your own ship, who has to fight their way home after drifting into an unknown region of space. Somehow, you receive help from a mysterious lady who can summon heroes.

You’ll do just that as collect your favourite heroes from previous entries. There’s a wide variety of these, and you’ll form them into teams of four, with each hero serving a different purpose.
Just like previous entries in the franchise, there are sharpshooters, defenders, invokers, and healers. Each character performs differently within its own class too, with a variety of passive and active abilities.
