Best New Android Games and Sales: Levelhead, Kingdom: Two Crowns, Deus Ex GO, and More

LevelHead Android

As another long week of staying indoors and gorging on mobile games comes to an end, it’s time to take stock of all the stuff we can be thankful for: the endless flow of great new games and generous discounts.

It’s been another good week for discounts and freebies, and a couple of absolutely essential titles have finally arrived. Check them out below.

New games

Surviving Titan

Surviving Titan, from Brighton developer Studio Dynamic, is a huge, charming, pixel-art survival adventure game in which you wake up on Titan – inevitably, with no memory of how you got there – and build a life.

Wanderlust: Transsiberian

Wanderlust: Travel Stories is a highly acclaimed travel adventure from a team of developers whose credits involve The Witcher 2, Dying Light, and Dead Island. Transsiberian sees you travelling across Eurasia, taking photos and experiencing the glory of long distance rail travel.

Fancade

One of two user-generated content apps this week, Fancade is a brilliant, intuitive game-creation tool that comes packaged with a generous supply of ready-made games from several genres. It’s free, too, so you really should check it out.

Levelhead

And here’s the other user-generated content experience. Levelhead, from Crashlands developer Butterscotch Shenanigans, is a premium platformer with a powerful level-creation tool, meaning practically endless replayability.

Legends of Runeterra

The much anticipated Legends of Runeterra is a Hearthstone-style collectible card battler set in the league of legends universe. That sums it up, really, so if you’re into Hearthstone et al you’ll probably dig this.

Ultimate Custom Night

Ultimate Custom Night is a spin-off of cult horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s. Once again you need to survive a night in the company of some haunted animatronics, but this time you get to choose which ones.

Kingdom: Two Crowns

Kingdom: Two Crowns, from Raw Fury, is the sequel to Kingdom: New Lands. It’s a 2D pixel-art strategy game in which you need to cultivate a city while fighting off monsters. The twist: you can play it with a friend.

Sales

Deus Ex GO

Lara Croft GO and Hitman GO have both been given away in recent weeks, and now it’s the turn of Deus Ex GO, completing the trilogy. Like the others, Deus Ex GO is a staggeringly inventive, challenging, and fun puzzler that you absolutely must download if you haven’t already.

Crashlands

To celebrate the launch of Levelhead (we assume) Butterscotch Shenanigans has cut the price of its previous hit Crashlands. Universally adored, Crashlands sees you exploring an alien planet, crafting, questing, battling, and generally having a ball.

Star Wars: KOTOR

Star Wars: KOTOR is generally considered one of the best games of all time, thanks to its rich RPG gameplay and well-drawn (in the literary sense) characters. It’s showing its age, but this is still a solid chunk of interactive Star Wars lore for a bargain price.

Samsara Room Remake

Rusty Lake is holding a sale on several of its games to mark its five-year anniversary. Better still, the studio has remade horror adventure Samsara Room and is giving it away for free.

Square Enix Sale

Square Enix is holding a massive sale on a huge swathe of its library, including several Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games. Titles are discounted by between 33% and 50%, so it’s well worth a look if you’re in the market for some epic RPG action to help you through lockdown.

Final Fantasy VII Android JRPG

Kingdom: New Lands

If you’ve been reading in the conventional fashion, from top to bottom, you’ll be aware that Kingdom: Two Crowns came out this week. To celebrate, Raw Fury has slashed the price of Kingdom: New Lands by more than half.
