SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off, the thematically inevitable time-management game from Nukebox Studios and Tilting Point, has received its biggest ever overhaul.
Most significantly, the latest update allows you to upgrade and level-up characters to give them new skills and powers. Character-specific passive abilities give you more scope when choosing the best caterer for a given task, while the new experience system lets you gain experience by collecting items.
There’s a new restaurant, too. Named Pasta La Vista, it’s an Italian eaterie where you can serve up spaghetti and, we can only assume, many other traditional Italian foodstuffs. Pizza is a good bet.
All in all the latest update has changed SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off in fairly radical ways, and apparently there are more updates around the corner, with Halloween costumes next on the menu.
SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off has proven incredibly popular since launching earlier this year, hitting 2.2 million daily active users in its first week alone. Oddly, the press release doesn’t give any details on the game’s current performance.
