Atelier Online mixes together chunks from other games in the series to create a free to play action adventure RPG. It’s been out in Japan for a while, but it’s set to launch worldwide at the start of next month.
The game features characters from other Atelier games, and sees you building a team of scrappers to explore a mysterious island. You can join up with three other friends to take on the island’s monsters in online co-op as well.
You’ll be mixing potions as well, blending together ingredients to create unguents that’ll help you out as you get deeper into the experience. Sounds gloopy. Here’s a trailer.
There’s some other interesting stuff too – a day / night and weather cycle means different monsters appear depending on the conditions, and there’s some character customization as well.
