First Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters Coming Later This Month

Square Enix has revealed that the first three Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games are set to launch at the end of this month. And, breaking with Squeenix’s tradition of just releasing games in whatever order they fancy, the first trio will cover Final Fantasies 1-3.

All of this was revealed in a tweet, which you can read by clicking right here. It also announced there’d be a special Steam bundle of the games that you can pre-order right now for a discounted price.

Unfortunately the same deal doesn’t seem to have been extended to mobile players. That said, the Play Store page for the Pixel Remasters hasn’t gone live yet, so that might change between now and July 29th, when the games release.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster was announced last week. It’s basically a bunch of authentic ports of the first six Final Fantasy games, rather than the polished reboots and re-releases that have been on the Play Store for a while now. Basically, it’s a bunch of classic RPGs.

If the Steam prices are anything to go by, the first two games will cost $11.99 each, with the other four setting you back $17.99 each. Those are some pretty hefty prices, but they’re par for the course with Square Enix mobile releases.

What do you think? Too much? Are you excited to play the games in their original-ish (pretty sure that font in the screenshot isn’t standard) incarnations? Do let us know.
