After months of waiting, and no small amount of stories about it, Nier Reincarnation is finally available to download from the Google Play Store. That’s the good news. The bad news is the servers haven’t actually gone live yet.
Hopefully they’ll turn on soon, because we’ve been waiting for this one with bated breath for a good long while now. And for good reason. The first mobile entry in the Nier series looks pretty darn awesome.
Don’t believe us? That’s cool, we don’t always come across as super trustworthy. But have a gander at this trailer and tell us it doesn’t look pretty darn good.
Good and, y’know, weird as a bag full of breathmints and party hats. It looks like there’s going to be plenty of action, loads of slightly confusing existential storytelling and more.
To celebrate the launch of the game, there’s a Nier Automata crossover running at the moment as well. Which suggests the global version of the game will be following the same trajectory as the Japanese version, which did the same.
