Mintrocket, the studio best known for the hit underwater adventure game Dave The Diver, made several new announcements this week. In a new Dev Dive devlog, the team gave the recent studio updates and teased future projects. That includes a new game Godzilla Defense Force: X developed by Mintrocket.

The devlog gave details about Bancho, the Sushi Master, the studio’s new RPG-meets-cooking simulator set in the Dave The Diver universe. According to Mintrocket, the character’s culinary backstory is rooted in real hands-on cooking experience. The game is confirmed for consoles as of now.

Another update was on the mobile version of Dave The Diver. The studio confirmed that the game will launch on both Android and iOS in August. After previously finding success with its release in China, the game is now preparing for a global mobile rollout. They’ll open pre-registration for the game soon.

So, what about the new Mintrocket game Godzilla Defense Force: X?

The game follows up on the original Godzilla Defense Force. It launched seven years ago and built a player community of more than 10 million people. The new version is being rebuilt from scratch with full support from the studio.

Godzilla Defense Force: X is a strategy management game covering 70 years of Godzilla history. You’ll need to protect cities around the world from invading Kaiju by deploying different bases and weapons. As you progress, you’ll also be able to battle, summon, and fight alongside various Kaiju from the franchise’s long history dating back to 1954.

And you won’t have to wait too long to see it in action. Closed testing for Godzilla Defense Force: X is scheduled to begin later this year, while the full release is currently planned for early 2027. The team dropped the first trailer for the game; watch it here.
