There’s a new Shining Force mobile game on the way. It’s called Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness, and thanks to gamer.ne.jp we’ve got a trailer and the above screenshot to share with you.
The game was announced a few weeks back and is being developed by Hive, which is a part of the Korean dev company Vespa. It’s been officially licensed by Sega and it’s a free to play tactical RPG set in the Shining Force universe.
As far as we can tell there are famous faces from the previous games alongside new characters here. The game is due for a worldwide release in the first half of 2022. Which isn’t that far away. Here’s the trailer. Which is in Japanese.
Looks pretty good, right? We’re not entirely sure what form the game is going to take, but it certainly looks like it shares some DNA with the likes of Fire Emblem Heroes and the free to play Final Fantasy games.
