The Best New Games for Android This Week – Nexomon: Extinction, Free Fire Max, Concordia and More

Saturday is here again, so it’s time to roll up our sleeves and dig out what we think are the best games that have launched on the Play Store over the last seven days.

This week we’ve got midcore puzzlers, rebooted battle royale shooters and a massive board game adaptation. There’s some slick free to play RPG goodness as well.

You can click on the name of any of the games below to download them from the Play Store straight away. And if you think we’ve missed anything out, make sure you chuck your suggestions in the comments section at the bottom of the article.

Doors: Paradox

A bite-sized escape room puzzler with some nice ideas and a gorgeous swagger to it. It might not last that long, but the puzzles are balanced just right to make you feel pretty darn smart while it does. This one’s free with IAP.

Garena Free Fire Max

A polished up version of one of the most popular mobile games ever released. It features a new mode called Craftland that lets you build your own levels, and you can play on the same account you’ve been playing the original with. It’s free, there are IAP.

Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai: A Hero’s Bonds

If awards were given out for games with the longest names, this one would be winning all of them. It’s based on the famous manga, and it’s got an interesting lane-based, auto-running battle mechanic that’s fun for a while. It’s not knock-your-socks off great, but it’s a decent way to waste a while. It’s free with IAP.

Nexomon: Extinction

There’s more than a shade of the early Pokemon games here. You’re wandering around a massive RPG world, collecting pocket-sized monsters and battling them against other trainers and critters. It’s been out on consoles for a while, now it’s bringing its simple RPG mechanics to mobile. Another one that’s free with IAP.

Concordia: Digital Edition

A massive board game adaptation that sees two to six players building up trade empires across maps of the ancient world. It’s got a simple set of rules, but mastering it is going to take a lot longer than you might think. This one’s premium with a $9.99 price tag.
