Oh look, it’s Saturday. Saturday is the day when we take a look at all the games that have come out on the Play Store over the last seven days and pick what we think are the five best of them.
This week we’ve got a whistleblowing narrative adventure, a tricky card game and a calming city-builder. All round it’s been a pretty decent week if you’re an Android gamer.
Unless otherwise mentioned, the games are premium, and you can click on their names to download them from the Play Store. Oh, and if you think we’ve missed anything, let us know in the comments section.
A gorgeous, town-building experience that sees you creating a world from scratch. There’s a lot to enjoy, and you can sit back and see an amazing city springing up with a few pokes and prods. It’s a great, creative way to spend a few minutes here and there.
A smart, engaging adventure that sees you trying to uncover some shady goings-on in a massive company. It’s built with the cooperation of investigative journalists, and the choices you make can change the way the story turns out.
A fast-paced, action-packed auto-runner that sees you chasing donuts, attacking pigeons and generally having a lovely old time. There are a bunch of levels to try and complete, loads of customization options and a gorgeous art style to boot. It’s free with an IAP to get rid of ads.
A trick-collecting card game that’s complex to begin with but after a while starts to make loads of sense. There are monsters, challenges and loads more going on. You’ve got single player and multiplayer to sink your teeth into as well.
A one on one, multiplayer distillation of cricket. Bat, bowl, earn new players and more coins as you win. It’s fast and fun and you’re going to find yourself addicted if you’ve got any interest in cricket. This one’s free with IAPs.
