Earlier this week, Rocket League: Sideswipe landed on the Play Store. At the time it was in pre-season, preparing the ground for the launch of the game’s first season. Well, that season has kicked off, and it’s got some interesting rewards for players.
Season One has reset the Competitive Ranks you might have earned during the pre-season, and you can increase it again with ranked matches. You’ll get rewards for earning XP, with even more goodies when the season ends.
There’s a special gift for anyone who played in pre-season – a title based on the rank you received. There’s also a crossover with the home version of Rocket League. More on that after this here trailer.
Until January 25th you can unlock special items in Rocket League by playing Sideswipe. Namely the Nuhai Inverted Wheels and the Wow! Goal Explosion. Complete the challenges and you’ll have them in both games if you’re using the same Epic Games account.
Players logging into Sideswipe during the challenge period will also be able to use “Water Resistant” by Anamanaguchi as a Player Anthem in Rocket League.
