The Best Games Coming to Android in 2022

Since we’re still only in the first week of 2022, we thought it was a good time to have a long look at the games that are likely to take up some space on your Android phone or tablet over the next 12 months.

There are likely to be plenty of awesome new games coming that haven’t made it onto this list, but these are the most interesting, the biggest and the ones we expect the most from.

If there’s anything you’re looking forward to playing, make sure you let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the article. Before that, though, here are some of the best games coming to Android in 2022.

Torchlight: Infinite

The hacky-slashy series makes its mobile debut in 2022. Set centuries after the last home version of the game, it brings all the loot and violence you’d expect to the palm of your hand. We’ve got some high hopes for this one.

Diablo Immortal

Who knows if this one’s actually going to make it out in 2022 – it’s been upcoming for so long it’s seriously stretched the meaning of that word. But when it does land, it’ll be a portable version of Blizzard’s dungeon crawling classic.

Apex Legends Mobile

The latest home shooter smash hit to make its way into your pocket. This one looks set to bring all the team-and-hero-based battle royale blasting that have made the console and PC versions of the game such a massive success.

Out There: Oceans of Time

A proper sequel to the space-exploration roguelite. It looks to build upon everything that made the original so exciting, adding some extra depth and even more corners of the infinite universe to explore.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy

Polished versions of three classic GTA games in one swanky package. It hasn’t gotten the best reception on home consoles, but it might work better on pocket devices. Or it might not. Either way, it’s pretty cool that it’s coming.

Just Cause: Mobile

If there’s an award for the mobile game with the most ridiculous explosions in it this year, we imagine that Just Cause: Mobile is going to win it. It looks like a wonderful slice of chaos and shooting, and that’s right up our street.

Star Wars Hunters

A Star Wars take on the team-based hero shooter. Pick a character, make a team with your buds and laser some other people’s faces off. Also features a character that’s a Jawa stood on the shoulders of another Jawa. 10/10.

Death Carnival

Probably the only game on this list that might give Just Cause a run for its money in the explosion stakes. Take part in a deadly, futuristic game show that involves murder. Loads and loads of murder.

Payday: Crime War

Technically this one was already out for a bit, but now it’s back with some extra polish and even more crimes for you to get involved in. Rob banks, stop bank robbers, wear cool masks.

Honkai Star Rail

The next entry in the Honkai series takes place on a massive space train. Or, at the very least, it involves a massive space train. It looks absolutely gorgeous, and it could well be the biggest game of the year.
