Oh look, there’s another SNK classic out on the Play Store. Must be that time of the week again already. This time round, it’s stabby-kicky side-on punch-ducker Samuari Shodown.
This is a port of the original, 1993 version of the game in all of its gorgeous 16-bit glory. Quite frankly it looks every bit as cool as it did the first time we saw it in an arcade way-back-when.
There are 12 different characters to choose from, and the game features a rage gauge that fills up as you take damage. Once it’s full you’re going to be more powerful. Neato.
The game also features all the twists and tweaks that the rest of the ACA NeoGeo library has gotten, all designed to make the game play even better on touchscreen devices.
