Another week is winding up, dissolving into the ether of the before-times. What did we do? What did anyone do? What can we do? Before we try and answer those questions, shall we have a look at the best games that came out for Android over the last seven days?

There’s some pretty darn good entries on the list this week – from arcade racers to classic visual novels. And obviously there’s the obligatory ACA NeoGeo title. And hey, they’re all premium as well. Neat.

You can click on the names of the games below to download them from the Play Store. And if you’ve got your own new favorite that hasn’t made the cut, let us know about it in the comments.

Kombinera

A puzzle platformer that sees you controlling a bunch of colored balls. The twist? You’re controlling them all at the same time. You need to combine the blobs to finish the level, which is often much harder than it sounds.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony

Only about a year late, the third game in the Danganronpa series makes its way onto Android. It’s a weird and wonderful visual novel involving deadly games, lots of shouting and a story that’ll keep you enthralled.

Shock Troopers 2nd Squad

This week’s ACA NeoGeo title is a top-down arcade shooter with some massive explosions and plenty of tricks up its combat sleeve. There are vehicles to use, branching paths and some lovely coin-op blasting, without the coins.

Rhythm Fighter

Do you like rhythms? Do you like fighting? Then this is the game you should be downloading this week. It’s a beat-’em-up with a rhythm action twist that’s all about smacking down to the beat. It looks lovely as well.

Hot Lap League

A red-hot blast of arcade drifting action. You’re darting along short tracks, trying to shave seconds off your time. It’s all about perfect powerslides and keeping as much speed as you can. It’s surprisingly addictive and filled with little moments of fist-clenching success.
