Another week has sloshed by, depositing a silty effluence of new games onto the Play Store. And we’ve sifted through them to find the shining gems amongst the slick and sticky mud.
This week we’ve got puzzlers, platformers, and a new Farmville game. So, yeah, it’s not the greatest week ever, but we’re pretty proud of that river metaphor we kicked the story off with, so swings and roundabouts.
You can click on the names of the games below to download them, and if you think there are other new games people should be playing, let us know in the comments section at the bottom of the article.
A smart and soothing puzzler that sees you planting veg in a garden patch in order to make some delicious meals. You need to put your seeds in the right place, and figuring out what can go where is part of the fun. It’s a premium game.
A free to play action RPG set in the Tales of… universe. It’s very good looking, it’s got loads of characters to collect and there’s a decent pace to the action. The IAPs and gacha mechanics might not to be everyone’s taste, though.
A weird survival game that sees you crashing onto a remote desert island. From there, your only chance of staying alive is to fish. Fish for your life. It’s a soft experience, but there’s a lot to like here, so long as you don’t mind the odd advert.
The third in the Farmville series, so if you’ve played any of them, or any games like them, you’re going to know what you’re getting here. Plant crops, raise animals, do other farm stuff. If you like this sort of stuff, well, it’s pretty darn good at it.
A slobbery, exciting platformer that mixes together twitchy, arcade leaping and a big, exploration-packed map. The controls are slick, the graphics are great and if you only play one game off this list this week, we reckon it should be this one. It’s free with ads and IAPs to get rid of them.
